Travel Journal, Ruth Kovec
Yesterday we took the most wonderful day trip across the lapis blue bay of Sorrento to the Island of Capri. It was the cherry on top of our perfect sundae of a trip. After visiting some of the tiny shops and cafes along the main “via,” we walked the picturesque path up to the Belvedere di Tragara. The bell tower’s deck gave us quite the bird’s eye view—stunning vistas of the vertical, rocky terrain dotted with more white stucco houses and villas. After our vigorous morning tour, we gathered our towels and picnic supplies and headed to the beach. We had the most wonderful insalata di frutti di mare, paired with a cool crisp Pinot Grigio —the perfect afternoon respite!
